Glenalmond timber is a leading supplier of engineered Glued Laminated Timber Beams and we can detail in-house to suit design parameters. We can also design, engineer and deliver whole projects including design and supply of steel fittings or structural members. If the project is too long for road transport (curves etc.), it can be imported on one of our regular sailings from Wismar in Germany into our own quay in Perth Harbour
Post and beam construction is a particular favourite of ours as it can be used as the main structural skeletal support system or for design features such as roof supports or corbel beams. Post and beam will often require metal plates, traditional joints, wooden dowels or even stainless steel fasteners to join the different elements together which we can design and provide in house. It all depends on the desired aesthetic.
