Vulcan Cladding is a premium weatherboard timber and is acclaimed for its eco-friendliness due to its use of sustainably sourced, full chain of custody wood, which undergoes a non-toxic thermal modification process to enhance durability and stability without chemicals. This energy-efficient process, coupled with its long lifespan, recyclability, and minimal maintenance requirements, significantly reduces its environmental impact. Additionally, Vulcan Cladding’s environmental certifications, such as the Declare Label, confirm its adherence to stringent sustainability standards, making it a practical and aesthetically pleasing choice for eco-conscious construction.
Vulcan Cladding is split into 2 products; Flat Sawn and VG (Vertical Grain), the VG product is laminated which offers even more stability to Flat Sawn so we can produce cladding profiles 180mm+ wide and 60mm thick. We can also produce non-profiled sections in VG up to 140x240mm which can be used for (non-structural) posts.

Information
Abodo Vulcan cladding should be sanded, bandsawn or otherwise textured prior to applying a transparent or semi-transparent coating. All Abodo Vulcan cladding should be coated with Protector Oil, Osmo UV or other approved coating. It is not recommended to install Abodo Vulcan cladding uncoated

Abodo Vulcan is available in profiles from secret fix to open jointed rainscreen and square edge (commonly used for board on board style). Other than profiles offered below we can also machine bespoke profiles if you have a drawing /sketch handy; note this will be dependant on quantity. Sections up 20 240mm wide available (subject to stock availability)

All timber will naturally weather to a silver/grey after consistent exposure to the suns UV rays. Don’t like the weathered look? we can offer a range of factory applied coatings from different brands (Remmers, Teknos, OMSO to name a few) or supply enough Litres of your chosen coating to apply on-site. Love the weather look and want don’t want the wait? Sioo:X wood protection can be factory applied to accelerate the weathering process but also offering a uniform finish (not patchy)

Yes, all timber will weather after long periods of exposure to the suns UV Rays. Some species of timber will weather quicker than others. We can offer a range of protective coatings wich which will give the most protection against the sun. Ask us for more information and costs
Normally the lead times if you aren’t receiving factory coated cladding is around 10-14 days from payment confirmation. If your cladding is being sent to have treatment factory applied via an external coater this could take longer (such as Sioo:x which has to be applied by a specialist)
The 2 popular profiles we are constantly machining are the WB12 (vertically fitted) and WB10 (both vertical and horizontally fitted) because they offer a secret fixing. The WB12 can also be machined with a centre and offset groove which gives a mixed width illusion
