Why use Abodo Vulcan for black cladding?
Do I need a stable base product if I’m coating black? The short answer is yes. Not only is Abodo’s Vulcan a sustainable choice compared to Larch but its incredibly stable, virtually knot free and durability class 1. Abodo Vulcan is available in profiles from secret fix to open jointed rainscreen and square edge (commonly used for board on board style). Other than profiles offered below we can also machine bespoke profiles if you have a drawing /sketch handy; note this will be dependant on quantity. Sections up 20 240mm wide available (subject to stock availability)

Yes, all timber will weather after long periods of exposure to the suns UV Rays. Some species of timber will weather quicker than others. We can offer a range of protective coatings wich which will give the most protection against the sun. Ask us for more information and costs
Normally the lead times if you aren’t receiving factory coated cladding is around 10-14 days from payment confirmation. If your cladding is being sent to have treatment factory applied via an external coater this could take longer (such as Sioo:x which has to be applied by a specialist)
The 2 popular profiles we are constantly machining are the WB12 (vertically fitted) and WB10 (both vertical and horizontally fitted) because they offer a secret fixing. The WB12 can also be machined with a centre and offset groove which gives a mixed width illusion
