Originally a 150-year-old village schoolhouse, this sensitive renovation and contemporary extension carefully balances heritage with modern living. The original stone building was restored while a striking new addition introduces bright, open-plan spaces that complement the character of the existing structure.
The contemporary extension is clad in Imbue thermally modified timber, selected for its natural durability, stability and rich appearance. To encourage a consistent silver-grey patina, the timber was factory coated with NatureSeal CU weathering accelerant, allowing every elevation to weather evenly regardless of sun or weather exposure. This ensures a more uniform finish over time while preserving the clean architectural aesthetic of the project.
